Gold Dickenson Productions has honored Funktional with the invitation to work in the Art Direction of their next film, Inventing Kin. We have already started shooting and are enjoying the experience. Stay tuned for screening dates, scheduled before the end of the year.

A Series of Indie Events will be celebrated in conjunction to the Music Musica exhibit opening on October 23rd at the Miami Science Museum.

What an honor to be invited to participate in this special exhibit's WORLD PREMIERE and red carpet event as event designer and co sponsor. We will be decorating the lobby, Space Gallery and ....the Planetarium DOME! In keeping up with the Series of Indie Events tradition, we will also be creating several installations with the works of filmmaker Franco Parente and fine arts by Juan Rozas.

"Music Musica" is a WORLD PREMIERE of two exhibits that look at music from both a cultural and a scientific perspective. American Sabor: Latinos in US Popular Music is the first major museum exhibition to tell the story of the profound influence and impact of Latinos in American popular music. The exhibit includes historical recounts and imagery plus memorabilia from artists like Celia Cruz, Ritchie Valens, Santana and more. Access All Areas analyzes music from its physics, its technology, its artists and the audience. This interactive exhibit is made up of thirty three hands-on exhibits that challenge the spectator to keep the beat, sing in tune, mix tracks, play a never ending scale, conjure music from thin air and learn to "see" music among other activities. You can even design your own rock show!

Tickets are regularly $40.00 per person and available on TICKETMASTER to the general public on September 25. Tickets include OPEN BAR, FOOD, EXHIBIT PREVIEW and CONCERT.

We are not holding an event in September but will be back in October with more than ever power! Funktional has been honored with the invitation to celebrate the event at the Miami Science Museum, in conjunction with the opening of their new exhibit titled Music, Musica.

Expect full details soon in an invitation for this special event.

We will also be designing for their 4 day red carpet event ; from painting and restoring to decorating using plenty of imagination we will be working in the Lobby, the Space Gallery and the Planetarium Dome creating lounge areas, registration, dining, food and liquor bars, music stages, press and VIP lounges.
